CLEM

Correlative Light Electron Microscopy (CLEM) deals with the use of both light and electron microscopy in a single experiment. There are however many ways to do CLEM as there are many light microscopy techniques as well as several electron microscopy approaches. A CLEM experiment usually combines Fluorescence Microscopy to study protein-specific dynamical processes and EM to highlight these processes within their overall ultrastructural context at sub-nanometer resolution.
