Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a non-invasive optical imaging method. By collecting back-scattered light and using an interferometer, one can reconstruct images of biological tissues by their refractive indices. This method is superb in semi-transparent or transparent layered structural imaging. It is widely accepted in clinics for ophthalmic imaging and now it is expanding in many other imaging fields.
